David J. Ceraul, Esquire
David J. Ceraul is a graduate of Pius X High School, Roseto, PA. Following his graduation from Pius X in 1973, Dave attended the University of Scranton.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Scranton in 1977 with a B.S. Degree in Political Science/History, and received his JD Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1980.
Following a Judicial Clerkship with the Late President Judge James R Marsh of the 43rd Judicial District of Pennsylvania, he established a private law practice in Bangor in 1981.
Dave later served as Solicitor to the Borough of Wind Gap and the Upper Mount Bethel Zoning Hearing Board. He currently serves as Solicitor to Bangor Borough, East Bangor Borough, Washington Township, and the Roseto Zoning Hearing Board.
Dave is a member of the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Northampton County Bar Association, the Monroe County Bar Association, the PA Borough Solicitors’ Association, and the PA State Association of Township Solicitors. Dave was named to Who’s Who in American Law in 1988,1994,1996,1999,2006 and 2010.
He has also served as the Mental Health Review Officer for Monroe and Pike Counties from 1989 to the present.
Dave was inducted into the Pius X High School Academic Hall of fame in April 2011. He is a member of numerous local clubs and organizations including the Slate Belt Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Boy Scouts of America, Minsi Trails Council, Forks of the Delaware District, the Father Denisco Council No.3862 of the Knights of Columbus, the Bangor Lions Club, Bangor Elks Lodge, Roseto Chapter of UNICO, and Martocci-Capobianco Post 750, Sons of the American Legion.
He is a former Board member of the Pen Argyl Salvation Army, a former Board member of Tott’s Gap Arts Institute, and a current member of the Board of Directors of the Episcopal Apartments of the Slate Belt. Dave is also a founding member/officer of the Blue and White Scholastic Foundation, Inc.

David M. Ceraul is a graduate of Pius X High School. Following his graduation from Pius X, he attended the University of Scranton where he obtained his B.S. in History in 2012.
He obtained his J.D. at Barry University’s Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in 2015 and was admitted into the Pennsylvania Bar.
After completing Law School, David worked at Ceraul Law Offices before joining the Northampton County District Attorney’s Office in 2016. Over seven years at the DA’s Office he achieved the title of Deputy District Attorney and Chief of the Juvenile Crime Unit. He also served in the White Collar Crime Unit, Violent Crime Unit, Drug Crime Unit and DUI Unit. During that time he handled Private Criminal Complaints and was a member of the Mental Health Court and Drug Recovery Court Programs.
David is a member of Northampton County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division where he served as president in 2022. There he volunteers with the Lehigh Valley Volunteer Center’s Holiday Hope Chest Program as well as other charitable endeavors.
